TOPEKA — Four people will interviewed to be the successor to District Judge Phillip Fromme of Coffey County. Nominees are Samuel Feather, Topeka; Meghan Morgan, Burlington; Darrel Smith, Emporia; and Taylor Wine, Lyndon. Nominees must be at least 30 years old, be a member of the Kansas bar and have practiced law at least five years and be a resident of Coffey County while judge. They will be interviewed by the Fourth Jdicial District Nominating Committee on Dec. 7 in the Coffey County courthouse in Burlington. The committee will recommend three candidates to the governor, who will appoint the judge.
