OLATHE — The regional anti-crime cooperative TRACE has issued an alert about four bred heifers that disappeared a week ago from a Linn County ranch near LaCygne. The cattle were likely stolen but may have wandered off. The Linn County Sheriff’s Department has described the cattle as being black, with yellow ear tags in each ear. Each tag is a three-digit number starting with the number 6. Each of the heifers weighs 1,100 pounds. TRACE says if you have information about the missing cattle, call your local law enforcement agency or the Linn County Sheriff’s Department at 913-795-2665.
