OTTAWA — The Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony is Saturday evening in Haley Park in downtown Ottawa. Party Rockerz DJ service will provide music and entertainment leading up the 6 p.m. lighting ceremony. Arvest Bank will provide free hot chocolate. Ottawa mayor Sara Caylor will flip the switch on the lights. The reading of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas’ will be by Phil Messenger. And then comes Santa. Everyone in attendance can get one ticket for a chance to win $10 in chamber currency. If you bring an item for the Willow Domestic Violence Center, you will get a second ticket. Items currently needed: razors and shaving cream, body lotion and facial lotion, laundry pods, dishwasher pods, bristle brushes, afro combs, winter gloves and hats, ethnic hair care products, pull ups and diapers in large sizes. Arvest Bank will give away two kids bicycles.
