OSAGE CITY — An Osage County man was captured Wednesday morning after the Osage County Sheriff’s Department said he fled after a stabbing northwest of Osage City earlier in the morning. A woman reported she was stabbed in the head as a result of a domestic dispute in the 600 block of 229th Street. She refused medical treatment, according to the department’s Facebook page. Michael Potts, 49, who lived at the same address, was booked for suspicion of aggravated battery, domestic violence, criminal restraint, and criminal threat, according to Sheriff Laurie Dunn. Potts fled before deputies arrived but was later captured by state troopers on I-70 west of Topeka, she said.
