OTTAWA — The Ottawa USD 290 board of education will hold a special meeting at 5:30 p.m. in the large conference room at the district central office to review public and school board and employees’ input, select interview questions, determine interview procedures, discuss salary for the superintendent search. At a community meeting this week, consultants unveiled a series of attributes listed as desirable by the public and district personnel for a superintendent, including ability to both listen and communicate, transparency, forward-thinking, building community partnerships and setting high expectations for all students. The board is seeking a successor to Jeanne Stroh who is retiring.
