OTTAWA — A 41-year-old Burlingame man was taken to Ransom Memorial Healthcare as result of a one-car crash on U.S. 59 northeast of Ottawa Friday afternoon. Bruce Sage was driving south on U.S. 59 south of the Montana Road interchange when his car drifted onto the inside shoulder and clipped a guard rail, the Kansas Highway Patrol said. The car bounced across the highway and hit a concrete bridge barrier, ricocheted back across both lanes and hit a guard rail head-on. He was wearing a seat belt.
