Ottawa- There are many happy people in the West Franklin school district this morning Tuesday June 13th. The 13 million dollar bond issue was approved by voters in the district by a narrow margin, 431 YES to 380 NO. The bond will provide security and safety upgrades at all the districts facilities which include Pomona, Appanoose, and Williamsburg.
Officials in the West Franklin district say the passage of the bond project will benefit the student of the district for years to come and provide much needed security and safety measures for the district.
Only 24 percent of the districts registered voters actually voted in Tuesday’s election.
