OTTAWA- Ottawa Main Street is gearing up for the 2nd annual Butterfly Arts and Music Festival. The event will feature fine artist showing off their wares and demonstrating their artistic talents and a wide variety of musical talent, food vendors and other activities for kids and adults.
Ottawa Main Street Director Linnie Giacin says there will be artists of all kinds and bands representing many kinds of music.
There will be a display of William Howe original paintings at the Silver Leaf Gallery at 129 South Main. Howe was a world famous butterfly expert and world renowned artist and illustrator from Ottawa. It is his work that has inspired the Butterfly Project that will see large butterfly murals painted on buildings around Ottawa.
The Butterfly Arts and Music Festival will be on the south courthouse lawn Saturday morning from 19 to 4.
