OTTAWA- An open house and ribbon cutting for the old historic post office at 2nd and hickory will be held tonight (Friday) from 5 to 7. renovation of the building has been going on for months and many people are wondering what it will look like. Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce president John Coen says the developers have kept as much of the original design as possible. The event center will be upstairs and an old style speak easy bar has been constructed in the basement.
Many local vendors will be on hand tonight with samples of their products and Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach will speak at the ribbon cutting.
