The new school year may bring a new type of student in the Ottawa School District. Superintendent Ryan Cobbs says students that can’t speak any English are showing up.
Cobbs says this is a positive development because it helps students and staff learn more and appreciate other cultures. He says this also presents challenges in the sense of greater numbers of students that need to learn English as their second language.
