A former Franklin County Clerk had some thoughts about the new county budget during a budget hearing last night. Sherry Geist urged the County Commission to postpone action on the budget.
County Commissioners responded by saying the county budget has been kept as flat as possible, and any increases are needed to meet real needs, not wants. Total budget authority for expenditures totals slightly over 29 million dollars. The Commission approved the budget unanimously.
