The Department of Health and Environment has issued a boils water advisory for the 12 Purchasing Systems of Public Wholesale Water Supply District No. 12. This includes the city of Lebo, the city of Quenemo, Coffey Co. Rwd No. 3, the city of Lyndon, the city of Waverly, Osage Co. Rwd No. 4, the city if Melvern, the city of Williamsburg, Osage Co. Rwd No. 6, the city of Pamona, Anderson Co. Rwd No. 4, and Melvern Reservoir Arrow Rock.
Customers need to boil water for one minute prior to drinking or food preparation. Bottled water is suggested. Dispose of ice cubes in automatic ice makers. Water used for bathing does not need to be boiled, however, monitor small children to make sure that they do not ingest the water. KOFO will keep you advised on updates as they become available.
