As summer begins to wind down, motorists in many places across Kansas and the nation are seeing gas prices gradually drop. This week’s national average is $2.84, three cents less than the beginning of the month, and most stations across Kansas are under three dollars a gallon.
Prices are generally about 20 percent more than they were last year at this time. Gas prices in Ottawa have dropped to $2.59 a gallon as of this morning.
