The Kansas Highway Patrol is seeking the public’s help in finding information about a man who was found dead on US 54 just west of Moran. The man has been identified as 25-year-old Billy Lee Montgomery of Springfield, Missouri. The investigation has determined that the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office had contact with him just after midnight Sunday morning and he was walking on 169 Highway.
The Kansas Highway Patrol is asking for anyone who may be familiar with Montgomery or who may have seen him or anything suspicious in the area of US 54 or Highway 169 to contact them. The Patrol’s Critical Highway Accident Response Team has been activated to assist in the investigation. If you have information, please call Trooper Goins at 620-431-2100.
