A high ranking Kansas official was in Ottawa this morning. Kansas Supreme Court Cheif Justice Lawton Nuss was the featured speaker at the annual Eggs and Issues event sponsored by the Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce and other organizations. Nuss says dividing up the powers of government was the founding principal of the nation. He says James Madison had a lot to say about government.
Nuss discussed the structure of the Kansas Court system but largely avoided any current issues before the court.
