The owner of a rundown house at 420 South Locust has a limited time to do repairs or the house will be demolished. After a brief explanation of the situation but City Inspector Jim Sherman to the City Commission, the owner then stepped to the microphone.
The City Commission voted to condemn the house, but Pettyjohn of Olathe still has time to renovate the house. If there is any lapse in the work, the City will then move ahead to demolish the structure.
