The Ottawa USD 290 School Board began discussions yesterday about adding a preschool space to Garfield Elementary School. It’s Currently the only elementary school in the district without such a space. Additionally, since it appears the state government may start paying for four-year-old preschoolers to enroll, Superintendent Doctor Ryan Cobbs thinks the district will need the space.
Administrators say they could have as many as 180 pre-schoolers enrolled in years to come.
