There has been a lot of progress made in Ottawa the past couple of years and that progress will continue with the addition of the Prairie Fire Housing addition on the north side close to Lincoln School. USD 290 has granted two right of ways in the area. The first is to the Prairie Fire addition itself along the edge of the soccer fields, but it is the second that will eventually give the school district some needed help.
The right of way is on the west side of Lincoln and on the south side of where the entrance to the parking lot is. Superintendent Doctor Ryan Cobbs says it will provide some relief.
The Prairie Fire housing project is expected to break ground soon and will provide a variety of options for housing for several income levels.
