The Ottawa City Commission passed a proclamation in support of the Constitution Wednesday. As part of the Constitution Day festivities, the Daughters of the American Revolution distributed pocket-sized constitutions to the commissioners. In return, the commissioners presented the daughters with a proclamation. Daughters of the American Revolution representative Renay Slinkard accepted.
Constitution Day is observed each year on September 17th, the day it was signed in 1787
