A Day on the Farm was held yesterday at Sylvester Farms southwest of Ottawa. Franklin County third graders learned all about all kinds of activities associated with farming and ranching. A lot of kids were looking forward to one thing or another and Sunflower Elementary Student Natalie Price knew what she wanted to do and why.
While Allie Hornbeck was looking for something different but for the same reason.
The event is held annually to teach kids about the importance of agriculture and how it relates to our everyday life in so many ways.
