Ottawa officially has a new disc golf course. The city of Ottawa held a ribbon cutting on the new course in Forest Park yesterday. Ottawa Mayor Mike Skidmore led the ceremony and noted that Ottawa now has two disc golf courses.
He added that there were many people involved in making the new course a reality and looks forward to seeing what the sport has to offer.
Disc golf is growing in the area. Ottawa’s other course is in Kanza Park and is more wide open with longer holes. The one in Forest Park is a bit shorter, but more challenging with the trees. The netting was designed to be removed when there are big events in the park, such as the car show.
