A new truck stop and truck driving school in Wellsville is going to require some road improvements. Wellsville officials presented to the Franklin County Commission Monday morning October 1rst, and asked for assistance getting the road done. The road in question is Stafford Road at K-33. The area in question has been marked for development for years and County Administrator Derek Brown says it is a good project, but things need to happen in a hurry.
Keim Trucking of Sabeth Missouri plans to build a large truck stop and truck school just off I-35, at K-33 and Stafford. They would like to begin in early spring and be open in late spring. Commissioners want to explore different options to help pay for road upgrades.
