We have an update on construction in Downtown Ottawa. Starting this morning, westbound 1st Street will be closed and detours around the area will be required for those traveling west on 1st street. Eastbound traffic on 1st Street will still have access. The closure is necessary in order to provide proper safety for workers in the area. Westbound first street will be closed through Thursday.
Lane narrowing on Main will continue in the work areas and officials urge drivers to be extra observant and cautious in the work zone as workers and equipment will be moving in and out of the work area
