The Louisburg Cider Fest scheduled for this weekend October Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th has been postponed. Organizers made the call this morning Friday October 5th, to postpone the event until next weekend. They say they don’t remember the last time the event was postponed due to weather. However, they are erring on the side of caution as the forecast is calling for heavy rain all through the weekend. Along with fresh apple cider and the famous apple cider donuts, over 60 vendors were scheduled to be on hand but Cider Mill President Josh Hebert thinks they will be back.
The annual cider fest draws over 12 thousand people to the area every year and includes a corn maze, pumpkin patch, activities for kids and vendors of all types.
