A fire at 1330 Elm Saturday morning October 6th, displaced a family of seven and caused major damage to the house. Jessica and Thaddeus Kingsolver and their 5 children were all able to get out safely after the fire was discovered in the garage of the home. Jessica says the community has shown overwhelming support and she appreciates all everyone is doing for them. The family is staying at Thadius’s parents’ house temporarily until they can find a rental home large enough to hold all of them. However, Jessica got some good news this morning.
The fire has been ruled accidental, and while no damage estimate has been set, their insurance will cover rebuilding. However, it could take up to eight months. The family is in need of some things, particularly clothing. KOFO will have a list of sizes for the children, as well as Thaddeus and Jessica posted on our Facebook page soon.
