Ottawa City Commissioner Blake Jorgensen has returned from a 9 day trip to China, and he has a better understanding of the Chinese viewpoint. Jorgensen says he’s aware of news stories over here of increasing Chinese repression, but he didn’t see much evidence of that while he was there.
Jorgensen says the trip was sponsored by the chamber and was intended as an outreach to the Chinese people.
