The Ottawa Planning Commission approved a site plan for Blu Sky Liquor to add gas pumps at their Ninth and Main location. The pumps would be installed on the north side of the building. Blu Sky owned by Kirby Snyder owns the two properties to the north of his business and plans to tear down the first structure that has been empty for some time. Planning commissioners were concerned about traffic flow at the intersection since there is not a center turn lane. Commissioner Jack Maxwell says though the city may not be able to regulate it due to the classification, he believes there should be some consideration.
The commission unanimously approved the plan with consideration of adding signage to be placed indicating in and out locations.
