Not that there are any issues expected, but a federal prosecutor will be on duty on election day to respond to complaints of possible election fraud or voting rights violations in federal elections in Kansas. U.S. Attorney Stephan McCallister says every citizen must be able to vote without interference or discrimination and the department of justice will act aggressively to protect the integrity of the election.
He does not expect any problems but warned that there are stiff penalties under federal law for attempting to improperly influence the outcome of an election. Assistant U.S. Attorney Jared Maag will be available to the public at 785-295-2858 while the polls are open on Tuesday.
