A man from Princeton was injured in a head-on collision Monday morning November 5th on Highway 50, just outside of Emporia shortly after 7:15 that morning, authorities responded to the area on a report of the accident, Cody Maloney was driving eastbound on Highway 50 just east of road C when a pickup truck pulling a travel trailer driven by Jonathon Dawlike of Orion, Michigan traveling westbound crossed the center line and struck Maloney’s vehicle.  He had to be extracted from his car by Lyon County rescue teams.

Maloney was transported to Newman Regional Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.  Dawlike went to the hospital by private vehicle to be checked out after the crash. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts.  According to his wife Bethany, who is from Ottawa, Cody broke his left arm in three places and received 11 staples to close a cut on his head.  Along with other small cuts and bruises.  The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
