Memory Lane Christmas Tree Farm will be participating in three Christmas tree-related events today first. As a member of the Kansas Christmas Tree Growers Association, they will be assisting in the presentation of a Christmas tree for display at Cedar Crest, the Kansas Governor’s Mansion. At 10 this morning, Harry Peckham, owner of Memory Lane Christmas Tree Farm, says the tree will arrive by Carriage.
Then, it’s on to Perry for an event involving the National Christmas Tree. The National Tree is in route from Oregon to Washington, DC and will be making a stop at Perry-Lecompton High School at noon. As part of this event, the Kansas Christmas Tree Growers Association will be presenting a Christmas tree to Governor Coyler for display at the state capitol.
