A traffic stop by Ottawa police officers early in the week led to a substantial amount of marijuana and other drug-related items being confiscated. Assistant Chief Adam Weingartner has more.
20-year-old Matthew Watts and 48-year-old Owen Watts were arrested on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute within 100 feet of a school and possession of drug paraphernalia. Other charges could be pending. He added that patrol officers are the first line of defense against drug distribution in Ottawa and will continue the fine work conducted this week to keep the community safe.
