An Ottawa woman that appealed her zoning dilemma to the Ottawa Board of Zoning Appeals has lost her case. Linda Covington of 803 North King Street had been cited for having two outbuildings without a permit. She told the zoning board that she’s being singled out.
The zoning board decided to let two outbuildings remain that have been on her property for a long time, but she was ordered to remove two buildings that were recently installed without a permit. It was noted during the hearing that some neighbors are doing the same things as Covington, so there’s a possibility the city will look into other zoning cases.
