Solving a series of leaks at the Franklin County fuel island at 1939 South Elm in Ottawa may boil down to installing brand new fuel tanks. Interim solid waste director Peg Pearson told the County Commission installing new tanks would be cheaper.
The commission voted unanimously to buy the two new tanks… total cost could be around 92 thousand dollars but Pearson says quite a bit savings can be achieved by doing some preparatory work themselves for the new tanks.
