The Franklin County commission has approved several end-of-the-year budget amendments transferring extra money to various departments. One of those incurring extra expenses was the Sheriff’s Department. County administrator Derek Brown says there are a couple of things that boosted the Sheriff’s budget by about an extra hundred thousand dollars.
The pregnant female he was referring to was one of the horses seized earlier this year. The budget amendments received unanimous approval of the county commission.
