From time to time, we hear about the use of counterfeit money… and now it appears it has struck close to home. Wellsville police chief John Blair says he first heard about some counterfeit money in the metro area.
Blair says he hopes to obtain video from the local Casey’s to track down the suspects passing the counterfeit bills. Blair says it’s also possible that whoever passed it in Wellsville may have unknowingly done it if they happened to be the unlucky person who somehow received the bills.
