The Ottawa Utilities Department has announced a planned power outage today Tuesday January 8th that will effect customers for a few hours. The outage is occurring in the 1300 and 1400 blocks of south Oak and Poplar street. Customers were without power until about 2 in the afternoon while crews rebuild distribution lines in the area. They apologize for the outage but want to make sure the distribution lines are the most up to date in order to provide the best service for the community. Again it was the 1300 and 1400 blocks of south Oak and Poplar were without electricity until 2 this afternoon.
