An Ottawa man has been charged with one count of sexual exploitation of a child. Twenty-nine year old Brian Hutton was arrested on a Franklin County probable cause warrant on Friday January 11th. In a complaint filed in Franklin County district court, the Franklin County attorney’s office states that -quote-” On or between September 28th of 2016 and October 11th of 2016, Hutton did then and unlawfully, and feloniously promote any performance that includes sexually explicit conduct by a child under 18 years old or a person who the offender believes to be a child under the age of 18 with the intent to arouse or gratify the sexual desire or appeal to the prurient interest of the offender or any other person.” The offense is a level three felony, with a minimum penalty of 55 months in prison and a maximum of 247 months and a fine up to 300 thousand dollars. Hutton posted a 50 thousand dollar surety bond. Part of the bond condition is that he have no contact with the victim or witnesses, not leave the state without permission, not use or posses electronics with internet access and to have any contact with persons under the age of 18 and is scheduled to appear in court regarding. Hutton is due in court on Wednesday February 6th for a hearing on the case.
