February is career and technical education awareness month in the state of Kansas. Schools across the state, including Ottawa High School are holding many activities to showcase technical training for students. The Ottawa City Commission read a proclamation celebrating the month. City Manager Richard Nienstedt says the city of Ottawa works with Ottawa High in this area.
The opening of the new career and technical education center at Ottawa High put them in the forefront of tech ed in the state by providing many career paths not available in other schools in the area.
