One project the USD 290 bond issue was able to encompass was the reconstruction of the locker rooms and weight rooms at Ottawa High School. The rooms had been virtually untouched for 40 years. Those have now been completed and Superintendent Doctor Ryan Cobbs says to say they are impressive may be an understatement.
The last bit of the project is known as the crown jewel of the bond issue. The 800 seat performing arts center is due to be complete and ready for students for the next school year.
