While many business owners in downtown Ottawa area are not happy with the loss of parking during construction of Legacy Square… They do seem happy with the work that the city of Ottawa has done to try and minimize their burdens. During an informational meeting at city hall, Dana Coopey of O-Town and Shawn Turner of Turner Flowers discussed the pros and cons of losing parking for one month if Legacy is built all at once……. Or a second option which would mean losing a smaller amount of parking for three months if legacy is built in phases.
During the meeting, Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce President John Coen warned that building Legacy Square in phases will mean the loss of some amenities and other items that were included in the original plan.
