Ottawa High School students have been very busy the past week. They have been at various competitions and conferences across the state. Several students attended the HOSA, or Health Occupations Students of America conference last week and came home with many awards. Allie Kerns won a gold award in dental science and a silver in dental terminology. Isabelle McCarty won gold in medical assisting; Peyton Bruce won silver in dental science; Kaitlyn Cosco received a bronze award in nutrition; Emily Scott and Camille Handle Raby won bronze in the cpr competition; Scott also won bronze in sports medicine and Juliette Lans, Regan Fogle and Rayley McCurdy brought home bronze in public health. Superintendent Doctor Ryan Cobbs had praise for the students.
Several students qualified for the national HOSA tournament in June, in Orlando.
