The Annual Stamp Out Hunger Food drive sponsored by the National Association of letter carriers will be held tomorrow. It is the 27th year for the EH event and is considered an important day for food pantries across the nation. Ottawa postmaster Dan Schroder says, “Ottawa has been very generous.”
Schroder adds that nationwide last year, they collected 71.6 million lbs of food, marking the 15th consecutive year of collections exceeding 71 million lbs. It is the largest one-day food drive in the country.
