Today is a big day for Eckan Ceo Richard Jackson. He is retiring at the end of May after 50 years of involvement with Community Action in Ottawa. Bu the will not let retirement slide by without continuing to be active in the community. He plans to stay busy and involved. Jackson says, “I would like to restart the youth in Government Program, expand the Martin Luthern King Celebration and continue to work on race relations locally and of course help those in need.”
Jackson spoke recently about his time at Eckan and had a message for the new leaders.
Today’s retirement ceremony will be held for him from 2p.m.-4p.m. at City Hall. The public is welcome to attend and help celebrate an amazing career of a man dedicated to helping others.
