The school redesign project for the Ottawa school district is set in stone. School superintendent Ryan Cobbs says, “It got raving reviews from the Kansas State Department of education.”
The school board approved implementing it next year. Cobbs noted that the Ottawa school district could be the example that other school district should follow in revamping their education system. The redesign project among other things will bring in a new grading system aimed toward helping a student achieve his goals rather than just the traditional strict letter grade system.
