Ottawa city commissioner Tom Weigand wants to forever honor the names of former commissioners Richard Jackson and Gene Ramsay at City Hall. Weigand says, “I want to start a discussion real soon.”
City manager Richard Nienstedt noted there is a naming procedure the city already has in place. It is not clear how soon any re-naming of a commissioner meeting room might be achieved.
