Is the purpose of school to just educate students? That has always been the purpose, but now schools have evolved into something far beyond just basic education. Ottawa school superintendent Ryan Cobbs says, “Schools are expected to do many things.”
Cobbs agrees with state representatives Blaine Finch that so long as school funding continues to be decided in the courts, innovation in schools will be greatly stifled.
