Eckan executive director Richard Jackson has a few more weeks on the job, but his going-away reception is now history. Friday afternoon well over a hundred community leaders and others gathered at the Ottawa City Hall to honor Jackson’s half-century of fighting poverty. One of those paying tribute was the united way of Franklin County’s Meg Pearson.
Jackson will officially retire at the end of May. He says, “I plan to keep busy and probably write a book about my life.”
