Would you like to hear some great music and help out a little girl at the same time? The grand O’opry will be doing a special benefit show at the Ottawa Memorial Auditorium this weekend to benefit the Opry’s drummer Steve Straubs’ 4-year-old granddaughter. Brecin was diagnosed with a hearing defect that will require surgery soon. Oma director Tiffany Evans explains.
100 percent of proceeds will go directly to Brecin’s family to help cover some of the costs involved. The show will be on Sunday afternoon at 2p.m. at the Auditorium. Cost of admission is a free will donation, all going to the family. Over 40 musicians have signed up to play at the special benefit concert.
