Franklin County emergency management Director, Alan Radcliff has an urgent message for the KOFO listeners “be very careful while the driver in the area.” Radcliff reports that many of the road repairs, performed in the last couple of weeks heavy rain. In many cases, the damage was made worse. Plus, there is new damage to deal with. He says, “No one should drive into water over the roadways, either standing or flowing, because the road could be damaged or even washed away.” He adds, “Road crews are working as fast and as safely as possible, but with the rainy weather continuing it will take time to get to all the repairs needed.” So, remember to “turn around and don’t drown.”
