Damage is still being assessed this morning in the Douglas County area as a powerful tornado ripped through the area last night. Damage is quite extensive. She adds, “There are about 1300 Westar customers without power in the Lone Star and Pleasant Grove area. An emergency shelter has been set up at the Douglas County Fairgrounds for anyone who has been displaced by the tornado.
